WHO WE ARE IN BRIEF
Mustard
Seed’s founder Scott McBride has been a carpenter since 1974. Originally
from New York, Scott moved to Sperryville, Virginia in 1990. In addition
to his work as a builder, Scott is a contributing editor of Fine Homebuilding
Magazine, and the author of two carpentry-related books published
by Taunton Press.
Scott formed Mustard Seed in 2005 when he was invited to participate in the restoration of Montpelier, the home of President James Madison. This nationally acclaimed project enabled Mustard Seed to attract an elite corps of dedicated craftspeople with a passion for fine workmanship.
